Biological Dentistry

Harmonize your health with holistic dental solutions focused on total wellbeing. We use non-toxic, biocompatible materials with minimally invasive techniques to heal your oral systems. Recognizing the interconnection between your mouth and the rest of your body, we do what’s best for your oral health while focusing on how it’ll impact your overall health. Your oral health is crucial for whole body wellness and a life bursting with vitality.

Why We’re Different

The dental office you choose is one of the most important health decisions you can make. It’s the difference between a healthy smile and a lifetime of frustration. Below are the many ways The Burkitt Center stands apart and why the details matter

Everyone knows someone who eats a lot of sugar and never gets cavities. If sugar were the only problem, how would that be possible?

Oral health depends on more than brushing or flossing. Cavities often signal imbalance throughout your body, not just your mouth. At The Burkitt Center, we take time to connect your nutrition and bloodwork to your oral health. By reviewing key areas of your lab results, we help you feel better, support your immune system, and stabilize your dental health long term.

Your gut is often called your second brain, and it’s directly affected by the medications you take. Research shows a clear link between repeated oral antibiotic use and changes in metabolism. Even childhood exposure can increase long-term health risks.

Whenever possible, we use IV antibiotics instead of oral ones. This keeps your gut microbiome stable while still treating infection effectively. There are times when oral antibiotics are needed, but our goal is to minimize them and protect your body’s natural balance.

If you’re going to have water in your mouth during dental care, it should be the highest quality water available. We use a four-stage Greenfield Solutions filtration system paired with a structuring device to keep everything clean and pure. It’s a small detail that reflects how much precision and care we bring to every step of your visit.

Vitamin C plays a major role in recovery and overall wellness. Many holistic patients already understand how important it is after surgery. Instead of spiking levels with multiple IVs, we focus on maintaining steady Vitamin C levels daily through oral supplementation. We recommend a trusted formula that supports healing and overall health year-round, not just before or after treatment.

The Burkitt Center loves dogs, and so do our patients. Bodie, our white golden doodle, trained for two years to provide calm lap support during treatment. Milly, our sweet rescue mix, loves snuggling next to patients in the chair. If you’d like to see them or have Bodie in your lap during your appointment, just let us know

Biomimetic Philosophy

Restore your smile with our conservative biomimetic approach to dentistry. Using minimally invasive techniques, we restore damaged or decayed teeth with biocompatible materials like composite resins and ceramics. They mimic the tooth’s natural strength, function, and beauty. This philosophy always focuses on what’s best for the tooth and reduces the need for invasive treatments like root canals or crowns.

The Burkitt Method

Dentistry isn’t something you should have to tough out. We offer every level of sedation available to ensure comfort and peace of mind: laughing gas, oral sedation, IV sedation, and general anesthesia. Comfortable patients get better results, and our team can work with precision and focus while you relax or sleep through your visit.

Traditional dentistry often lasts around five years before needing repair. Biomimetic Dentistry takes a different path and rebuilds teeth in a way that mimics nature. Our goal is to complete one restoration that protects your nerves and preserves healthy structure for decades. It takes more time and skill, but the result is stronger, longer-lasting teeth that function as they were meant to

Dr. Will trained with Dr. Ghanaati, a world-renowned researcher, MD, PhD, and oral surgeon. He teaches that when a tooth is removed, the jawbone doesn’t always heal properly. The leftover tissue can become a diseased area that forces your immune system to fight it continuously. This can sometimes lead to autoimmune reactions or chronic inflammation. At The Burkitt Center, we extract teeth and perform surgery using techniques that remove diseased bone and prevent immune complications during healing. Our approach helps your body heal cleanly and reduces long-term systemic stress

Healthy oral surgery starts with healthy bone. For single or small-area implant cases, ceramic implants are often the best option. They are biocompatible and immune-neutral, unlike metal implants that can release trace metals into the body and trigger titanium sensitivity. Metal implants have an advantage for full-mouth restorations due to speed and integration, but for most individual replacements, ceramic implants support long-term biological balance.

Traditional dentistry often removes old silver fillings by drilling them out, which releases mercury into the air and your mouth. We take every precaution to keep you safe: a rubber dam to isolate the tooth, HEPA-filtered suction, nasal oxygen for clean breathing, and chlorella applied afterward to bind residual heavy metals. This careful process protects your gut, lungs, and immune system during mercury-safe removal.

Many dentists use rotary burs to remove teeth quickly, but that process can also remove healthy bone. Our Piezo surgical unit uses ultrasonic vibration to gently separate tooth from bone without unnecessary trauma. After extraction, we evaluate bone quality using digital imaging to ensure all diseased tissue is gone while preserving as much healthy bone as possible. This precision approach protects the foundation for future implants and supports faster recovery

Our goal isn’t to be the cheapest dental office. We focus on research, technique, and patient experience. Every decision we make is about delivering the highest quality care possible and creating a space where patients feel heard and cared for. By the end of your journey with us, we want you to feel healthier, more confident, and fully supported. You are the focus. We’re here to guide you.
